I never realized how great the sport was until I was 23 and never even thought about about how good I might have been if I had tried until recently.....Just to be able to rewind time 10 years or so.

I fought amatuers from the time I was 14 until I was 20 and then turned pro at age 21. Fought at the Palace of Auburn Hills and on television and such. The card that I made my professional debut on was telecast live in 6 countries. I fought out of Jackie Kallens gym in Redford Michigan. Galaxy, the name of the gym, was a great gym to fight out of at the time. We had all kinds of really good fighters dropping in when in the state as well as a great stable of fighters ourselves. Jackie actually started her managing career out of the gym I was at when fighting as an amatuer. She was always a really neat woman to be around and when i turned pro I decided to go with her. Funny thing, I designed her logo, the Galaxy logo, for her when I was like 15 years old. She used it for her gym and she said that she still uses the logo today... Crazy how things turn out.

Oh yeah, I am most certainly retired now as a fighter. I will however, soon begin my professional refereeing career as soon as I can get the registration fee to do it. I already passed the associated boxing commisions test, which means that I am in to ref the ibf, wbc,wba,wba... whoever.... cant wait for it to get going.
