    Comments Thread For: Tomoki Kameda Turns Down The Abner Mares Fight

    Widespread rumors began to circulate that unbeaten bantamweight Tomoki "Little Mexican" Kameda had emerged as the leading candidate to face Abner Mares, this Saturday at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Kameda was being pursued to replace the injured IBF champion Joseph Agbeko, who withdrew on Wednesday.

      Just stop it......Mares isn't brutalizing anyone.

      With that said....it's flatout ridiculous for him to take a fight on a few days notice, especially since he is already in the middle of his camp and more than likely hasn't even hit the peak part of his training.

        i really didnt think he would take such a huge step up in just days notice ... shame tho it woulda been a great replacement bout all things considered

        he keeps winning and this coudl def be a future matchup

            Mares style isn't made to abuse anyone.....so just stop it.

            He would at best win a UD, but he doesn't have the power and pressure style to brutalize anyone.

                    They will not get a good opponent on such short notice. They might as well just reschedule Abner Mares for another date.
