Martinez has been classified as too big. If ortiz can beat maidana that means he has beaten all his competition and the welterwight champion. He is suppose to be the next golden boy so I think if he avenges his only true lost the early career DQ doesn't count then he should be the top contender to either since they won't fight each other. Let me know what you guys think and how he would fare against both with ppv buys and as a competitor

Maidana will get stopped in 4 rounds against Ortiz. I don't think he will handle the power. Not only that but Ortiz throws 50% more punches at 147 than he did at 140, and he punished Maidana at 140. Imagine what he will do to him at 147? What concerns me about Ortiz is his chin. Will he be recieving flash KD's and adjust like JMM and Martinez? Or are those really a sign of a Vargas type of chin? I'm saying this as a hardcore Ortiz fan to.
