Undefeated lightweight prospect Abner Cotto, who sports a record of 10-0 and 5 knockouts, will be active on April 23 at the Miami Date Country Fair & Expo in Miami, Florida, but so far the name of his opponent has not been released. Cotto is promoted under the banner of Miguel Cotto Promotions and he is expected to stay very busy, with at least five fights being planned for 2011. Cotto fought four times in 2010, going 4-0 with 1KO.

The kid has the name and the fan based that comes with the territory, needless to say the name recognition as well. But the fact is that there is nothing (that I've seen) which leads me to believe that he is "Champion" material.

I saw more talent in Bruseles when he was 10-0.

I figure that due to his "decent" skills and name recognition we will soon see him either in ESPN, Shobox or on the undercard of at over priced PPV..... But puertorican's need to look elsewhere for the future star of Puertorican boxing.

I could be wrong... but by 10 fights one can tell if a fighter was that extra something which will lead him to stardom. I just don't see it......
