Mares will be favored because he is the younger more well known fighter but really it is a 50/50 fight

Res was able to swarm Vic last fight, but I think his combo punching isn't what it used to be with nacho. I think agbeko is more versAtile and a better defender than mares. Mares should he able to make a fight out of it for a lot of the fight where his slight speed advantage and better combo punching will he a factor.

King kong will dictate enough of the pace while mixing it up to win a tight decision IMO. He's gonna put some nicer than expected and subtile body work in on mares which will slow him down.

With all that being said, I ain't throwing any real money on this fight as of right now because it's a real close fight.

For an example of King Kong's versatility, check his last 4 fights. He fought almost completely differently in all 4 fights.

Last fight against Perez, he boxed effectively and exchanged in certain rounds. He went up and down with combos and fought with his erratic upper body movement helping him work his way in.

The fight before that, he thought he could just outfight Perez and went to war for 12 rounds.

For Vic D, he relied on the straight right and body work as he leaned in and came forward quite a bit, thinking he would rough Vic up and maul him for 12 rounds cuz Vic was the smaller man. He straffed Vic with straight lead rights all fight.

Against Gonazalez, he boxed from the outside using excellent head and body movement to make Gonzalez miss A LOT. He fought in and out, making Gonzalez miss, letting off 3-5 punch combos and then was getting out of the way before eating return fire (for the most part), especially in the later rounds. Good fight by the way

mares and agbeko both love the lead right to the body. straight or hook.

the more I watch of these guys the more I'm pumped about this fight.

mares is a fast little mofo, even if he's a little more simple than king kong, his punches are tighter for the most part (not always). and he's definitely not the combo puncher he used to be

I'm an Agbeko fan, so maybe I'm crazy but I think he will win this fight decisively. He will pick Mares apart.

Mares is favored in my opinion.

mares is favored by the bookies too, so it would be a mild upset if and when agbeko wins
