I definitely don't cosign "Berto sucks" I think he has alot of talent but homie just got lazy and fat by getting paid to not be competitive. This is a blessing in disguise to his career. I think he comes back better and stronger off of this because now he has no choice. No "0" and no "WBC title". He's going to have to work his way back up. It's funny how so many are saying that Berto sucks but before this fight was being considered and only talked about everyone frowned on it because they thought Ortiz didn't have a shot. Berto is good but he needs to utilize his strengths by focusing on his weaknesses.

merchant is spot on about berto. he had way too many soft touches and got paid way too much for them. when he finally faced someone above average, he blinked.

      **** berto, that overpaid hype-job.

what do you think dibella and al haymon will do with berto?

they'll feed him more soft touches until they can find a fight they can cash him out with against a cash cow.

I don't see dibella and haymon putting berto in against anyone that possibly poses a threat to him until they get their fight with a cash cow. Beli' Dat

Berto doesn't suck. Juan Ma doesn't suck. They both just got beat by the better stronger fighter on fight night. if berto and ortiz fought 10 times i would pick berto to win some of those meetings. if juan ma and salido met 10 times id pick juan ma to win 8 out of 10 times.

Well, if Diabella and Haymon continue with the same strategy as before then the same thing will happen to Berto again. Wouldn't be wise for Berto to go the same route because it only would show that he is a soft fighter, who can't hack it with the upper tier fighters. Berto's team needs to stop babysitting him and get him in with proper competition because the jig is up.

WHAT!!??? u kidding me to b even at Oscar's level!! both of these guys fought their ass's off and intern gained my respect Berto for finally proving he can fight with good opposition cuz when he first time steped up in competition against luie collazo he gave a great fight FOTY candidate and then..........thats it!!!! he didnt even give that guy a rematch now hes in the other side that luie was so will Berto get a rematch?? i think these two should def fight again it would another great fight

Well being unpredictable is one of boxing's most endearing qualities.

Thats waht greedy a$$ bob arum gets tryn to build up the fight to get more money out of them when we the boxing fans where already calling for the juanma vs gamboa fight I'm just glad it backfired. He could of easily made this fight happen. I don't see how he can throw his own ppv for JR alone but not for this fight we all wanted to see. Just goes to show he don't giv a crap bout the boxing fans.

nah... ortiz wasn't a hype-job, he was a quitter. but he ain't no quitter no more. tough fights and losses/draws against maidana and peterson learned his azz fast.

berto is a bonafide hype-job. fighting ordinary opponents, waiting for a chance to cash out. his toughest fight was collazo and ever since then they've been feeding him bums
