Andre Ward makes The Rings P4P list!

Juanma was dropped from the list making room for Andre Ward to enter The Rings P4P list, your thoughts?

My thoughts are he should have been top ten this entire time and he should be higher than #10.

^In terms of resume, absolutely. BUT you have to remember, P4P...Kessler was higher than Froch at the beginning of the Super Six and Ward defeated the best P4P out of the bunch at the time. Then don't forget he dominated Alan Green who is still a legitimate contender and then defeated Sakio Bika who would be dangerous for anyone...and is still undefeated. Froch has to defeat Ward to be higher than him.

So till then Ward deserves to be higher because he still defeated the man whom defeated Froch, eventho Froch destroyed Abraham but don't forget Abraham was coming off a DQ loss.

Plus based on styles, Ward would defeat Froch anyhow. Ward is better defensively, can fight on the inside better, can make reach ineffective, better footspeed, handspeed. Ward won't be a stationary target. Only thing Froch got against Ward is power. If Kessler could outjab froch, Imagine what Ward will do to him. IMO the only two guys that would give Ward problems are Glenn Johnson and Andre Direll.

not really. Ward dominated the guy that beat Froch and that was rated the best at 168 when they fought. On top of that hes beaten Miranda, Bika, and Green solid wins(especially the Bika one, which is still Bute's best win).

I personally dont have a problem at all with someone rating Froch above Ward, but Ward over Froch is just as legitimate.

You're using triangle theories....Froch has Pascel, Taylor, Dirrell, and AA on his resume

All 4 of those guys are better then anyone on Wards resume who isn't named Kessler

Course Froch has the better resume BUT thats not always a dictation of pound for pound ratings. It still stands that Kessler was higher in the Pound for Pound ratings and was the MAN of that division once the Super Six Began and had more experience as champion than Froch. Ward beat the highest P4P guy..thus he jumped up in the Pound for Pound ratings considering his performance was dominating. Ward then continued to rain with his dominating performances of two legitimate contenders getting him higher. Froch's rating didn't get much higher since the Dirrell fight was so close and then don't forget he loses so his rating drops a bit. Eventho he destroys Abraham, its still not enough to reach Ward since Ward has 3 straight dominant wins(Although Bika was the most competitive of the 3 and gave ward some problems)

Triangle theory or not, i'm basing it on their styles and what they've shown. Froch has good tools. He's got underrated..sneaky defense. He's got good power, got a good chin...got good stamina and has an awkard style that causes issues with almost all fighters he's foughten against. But he falls victim to guys who got good jabs and great athletic ability. He was losing against Taylor prior to the final round, had trouble against Dirrell's hit and run style and actually lost against Kessler. Ward is very good technically and has a diversity of other skills.

Sorry but one dominating performance by Froch won't catch up to Ward right now, regardless of Froch's past resume.
