Why were Greenburg and Davis so unhappy when Ortiz knocked down Berto in the 6th?

I watched the Berto-Ortiz fight in HD, and in the 6th round when Ortiz came back and knocked down Berto, it seemed like virtually everybody was cheering because it was such an exciting round.

You can see Floyd Mayweather enjoyed the round, and even DiBella looked impressed even though he's Berto's promoter.

But in contrast to all the other faces in the crowd, HBOs Ross Greenburg and Kerry Davis, who were sitting on Floyd's left, looked very unhappy.

Davis was openly rooting for Berto during much of the fight, and although Greenburg didn't show his emotions as much up until that round, it became obvious he too was rooting for Berto because he looked hurt himself when Berto went down.

Has Berto been a favorite of the HBO bosses? He received big paydays for fighting carefully hand-picked, usually smaller opponents.

They're so heavily invested in him at this point, it sort of makes a mockery of their time spenditure. They got pwned along with Berto in that fight.

Lulz, teh only reason I was rooting for Ortiz was because Berto was getting ****y even though he really hasn't done *****, and he was making millions fighting nobodies everyone already knew he could beat..

You're smart I think you know the answer

They saw their investment essentially go down the tubes to a guy who was thought to be a mental issue.

In all honesty I think they saw their jobs being held under fire as Berto was getting strafed with lefts.

if they make it through the year I will be shocked

I would love a shot at this.

you know I hear is trying to groom himself for the boxing position?

Fat Dan. I kid you know the guy who often writes about fights he has yet to see is actually talking insider wise about how he wants that gig
