When was this fight touted as a possibility? Taylor wasn't a big name until he sc****d past Hopkins. He then did absolutely nothing as champion until Pavlik wiped him out. Nothing he did suggested he was the big name/payday that Calzaghe wanted at that point in his career.

By the time Taylor moved up to SMW, Calzaghe had already moved up to LHW, made some easy money and retired.

Nobody was ducking anybody, their paths just didn't cross. It happens.

probabley, calzaghe was unecessarily cowardly and believed alot of the hype people gave fighters, until he got in the ring that is, he would've made taylor his bitc.h, with all due respect to taylor
