He can draw more of a crowd than Berto, and he outboxed and outbrawled Berto. I still doubt HBO will pay Ortiz 1.25 Million on his next fight. Pretty sad when Ortiz was on the post presser and said, "ya know I don't make a hell of a lot, so why not shoot for the big names?". After GBP and HBO cut his pay day in half against Campbell to meet Khan's 1.25 Million demands as well. Fair is fair, so HBO pay up that $$$. I'm sure Oscar is over the Khan and Canelo fever he was so dillusional about. He didn't show up to the Ortiz fight, cuz he cashed him out, but showed up to that boring fight Khan had in England against who? Anyway I'm glad Oscar didn't show up cuz he's bad luck anyway. Ortiz should say he'll fight, but not infront of Oscar cuz he brings a bad aura to the room. I used to like Oscar, but after that **** he did I thought it was BS. Watch him hype up Ortiz and forget about the other two (Khan and Canelo).

Well he deserves it, hes the champ, hes the draw, but Berto was getting that because of his managers relationship with HBO/mayweather.

no not at all. Remember Haymon does Berto's bidding so no way he got less than Ortiz.

as to the question at hand one thing I would like to point out is that your drawing power doesn't necessarily equate to what you make from HBO otherwise guys like Adamek and Fernando Guerrero would earn significantly more for their fights when they are on

Nah I'm just wondering cuz of the curruption in boxing. Even Khan is overpaid. Not to mention that money can be used to make more fights.

oscar went to the UK partially due to the television dispute but its doubtful he wouldve been at the berto-ortiz fight anyway

ortiz probably isnt there yet but another impressive performance or two should get him in the one million ballpark

I hope not, and I don't mean that to disrespect Ortiz it's just that Berto was way overpaid. I don't want Ortiz to get a taste of that kind of easy money and find the kind of opponents Berto was.
