I will never forget my culture and where my roots come from.

It's easy for you super white guys ( and I say this as a " white " person ) to act all American. Your name is probably David Davidson or some ****. My last name can be traced back to the holy roman empire. My Great grandfather was treated like **** when he immigrated to the USA, they called him a dirty brown skin brown eye WOP guinia.

Of course I love the USA ( but hate the people who run it ), I am 100% American but I'm not gonna forget my roots and the fact that my people were crucified and still are today here.

So your telling me they are not real puertoricans? I just want to know because I have many friends that would literally fight you for saying something like that.
They aint the same as me. We are different. That's my point. Not in a bad way just that we are different. What's the difference between Cotto and Collazo???? one is from PR the other NY. One speaks spanish as his first language, the speaks english as his first language. I hope your friends all speak good spanish cuz I hate hearing that ****ed up **** I hear from some of the Boricuas here in the city.

There's no difference if you keep the culture strong. Why should a Mexican or Puerto Rican be different if they happened to be born on this side of the border?

Makes no sense to me, there are places in Texas, Cali, Arizona, New Mexico that have been the same for generations and the culture is the same as in Mexico.

Yes I understand the puertoricans that are form NY and they are different than Island PR's but if you know spanish, keep the PR culture strong, are they still not puerto ricans? They are not allowed to be proud of Tito Trinidad, Tito Puentes, and other PR hero's?

          Makes no sense to me.

I know it's different, I have lived in PR for a couple of years believe it or not. I also lived in Mexico and know how different it is there but I'm not talking about the differences in country, I'm talking about people who say if you are not born there, you can't root for Mexican or PR fighters as if they are your own.

People saying Victor Ortiz can't act like he's Mexican or be proud of his Mexican roots. That's what I'm complaining about.
