- I thought Maidana clearly won but not by scoring the fight. Just looked and felt like his fight past "Maidana was supposed to murder Morales! Morales wins the round for not dying!" logic.
- More proof that Morales has an ATG chin.
- More proof that Pacquiao, even as an unrefined wrecking ball, was amazing. He holds the only stoppages of Morales and Barerra, who went on to face much bigger men and still not get stopped.
- Erik is past prime, but not shot. He can pull the trigger. He's just at a decline of speed and stamina.
- Maidana wasn't himself, clearly. He looked flat out lethargic. Not slow. Not drained. Not tired. Just looked like a guy that had no focus. I think it's of no coincidence that he terrorizes young, talented fighters and then struggles past the finish line with old, post prime targets. Not to mention those two post prime guys have great chins to hold them up early. I think he looked drained against Corley and untrained against Morales.
- Maidana has left a mess of everybody he's fought, win or lose. KO'd Cayo and Ortiz, implanted a tennis ball under the eyelid of Morales, and had Khan on the brink. That power is not overrated.
- Aaaaaand finally... Honestly think that Judah, Bradley, and Alexander would have a terrible time trying to keep Maidana off. Just saying. KO's Alexander, I think he'd be terrified from the opening bell. Judah's stamina tapers and Maidana rallies a late KO, I think. Bradley? Hm... I think Bradley does enough holding, movement, and headbutting to survive scares.
