Nope, Pacquiao said he would fight Khan, which is why his team didn't want Khan to spar with him. That lame article circling around with the Pac interview is FAKE.

lol, that entire article looks like ****, don't believe everything you read. I'll wait for a video. None of it makes any sense, that should tell you from the jump somethings not right with it, probably misquoted.

Controversial circumstances surrounded Saturday's WBA title defence where the technical points decision favoured Khan after opponent Paul McCloskey was cut by a clash of heads during the sixth round.

Roach now wants Khan to move up to 147lbs where he can take on stable-mate and good friend Pacquiao.

However first Khan will look to clean up in the light-welterweight division against Timothy Bradley.

Roach told The Sun: "I want Amir to unify the light-welterweight division by taking on WBC and WBO champ Timothy Bradley.

"Then I want him to move up to 147lbs and take on the big buys for big money. That's the plan we are working on.

"Fighting at 147 would suit me better. I'd be stronger, more powerful at welterweight."
Amir Khan Quotes of the week

"I know Tim Bradley very well and he is one hell of a fighter, but I would put Amir in with him tomorrow and expect my boxer to win."

Roach believes the winner should then take on Pacquiao.

"Their fight will determine who is the best at 140lbs and then the winner should go up to 147 and take on Manny Pacquiao," he said. "That is my feeling."
            Powerful

Khan has previously said he would not fight his friend Pacman, but has since has a change of heart.

"Fighting at 147 would suit me better. I'd be stronger, more powerful at welterweight," he said.

"I'm hitting harder now so what would I be like if I stepped up a division?"

July 23 has been scheduled as the provisional date for a showdown with American Bradley, who is currently unbeaten in 27 fights.

"I am taking five weeks off and when I get back to LA and know it is Bradley I could be facing next, it will push me even further," said Khan.

Bradley defended his WBO and WBC belts with victory over Devon Alexander last time out - while he previously dethroned Britain's Junior Witter in 2008.

That's exactly the way Roach's team should be playing this. Two strategically close looks as opponents to PBF. At the same time that's exactly why PBF would never fight a Roach trained fighter because it would give Roach a practice run prior to a potential MP PBF fight.

Well pacquiao seems to be all shook up about it already

Manny Pacquiao says he will never fight Amir Khan

With a little more than 3 weeks until the big fight, many boxing fans and pundits are looking ahead to whom Manny Pacquiao might fight next. As of now it's unclear who the next opponent might be, but Manny did give a definitive answer on who he won't fight next. On Tuesday, Manny Pacquiao told BoxScoreNews.com that he will never fight his good friend Amir Khan.

" Amir Khan and I are good friends and he will find his own way to superstardom without me. Amir is going to be the greatest fighter of his era. A fight between Amir and me will never happen"

Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan have become good friends over the years due to the fact that they share the same trainer Freddie Roach. Khan has become a regular fixture at Pacquiao's training camps as sometimes he trains alongside Manny and sometimes he actually spars with Manny.

Khan is set to face Paul McCloskey on Saturday, April 16th at the MEN Arena in Manchester, England. Khan, who will defend his WBA junior welterweight title, spent some time in the Philippines last month to prepare for this fight and to help Manny Pacquiao to train for his fight with Shane Mosley on May 7th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Amir frequently posted pictures of him and Manny on his FaceBook page during their time together in March.

Many of Manny's fans respect the fact that Pacquiao puts his friendship with Amir above a potential big money fight between the two. It's another example of Manny's integrity and character. Over the last few years, Khan has truly embraced his times with Manny and publicly expresses his admiration for Manny.

In late 2009, when the Mayweathers were attacking Manny in the media and accusing him of taking PEDs, Amir Khan was one of the first people to come to Manny's defense and publicly defend Pacquiao. Khan has also called out Floyd Jr. for a fight but Floyd has yet to respond. In the end, friendship and respect outweigh money and fame.
