In boxing, sometimes you are adjudged to have lost even when you win, and Amir Khan (139lb) had one of those nights at the MEN Arena in Manchester on Saturday night when stopping Ireland's Paul McCloskey (139lb) on a TKO after an accidental clash of heads opened up a cut on the Dungiven man's brow in round six. Referee Luis Pabon called over the ring doctor to inspect the injury and the fight was officially waved off at 2:30 of the session.

The best article I've read so far on this or any other website.

Khan got the deserved win. Paul didn't have the speed, power, or offensive output to even win a round. I was surprised he made Khan miss as much as he did - he is fairly slick actually. That word gets tossed around too much, but Mclock really is kinda slick. Khan also obviously was looking at this fight as a chance to get rounds in against a style of fighter like Paul. He is going to bust Bradley up real nice, then people will forget about this minor skirmish.

Lets get it straight though, he didn't actually 'stop' anyone now did he.

kind of a biased article. He's making the claim that the stoppage was legitimate based on his OPINION that McClosely would prolly have done nothing else in the fight. Nevermind the fact that in boxing, anything and everything has happened.

                  Great article.

What would have happened after the sixth round are just opinions. The fact remains that the fight lasted six rounds and Amir won every single round of them.

Great, non-biased article. One of the best I have read on the matter.
