Floyd Fighting This Summer. I predict...

    It will be Victor Ortiz.

There is a well known YT channel named "YoungMayMoney" with all of Floyd's fights. I personally believe it's Floyd's channel or somebody connected to him. About 30 minutes ago he posted a bulletin that reads "Money will be back this summer...get ready". I'm going out on a limb, and obviously I could be wrong but I predict that he will face Victor Ortiz. I personally think Ortiz is the best fight for Floyd right now based on his performance last night and the fact that he's a southpaw which would fare well as a tune up for Pacquiao should they meet at the end of this year. Is there a better option for Floyd? Who and why?

I think he was gunning for Berto, because like Ortiz, Floyd saw something he could take advantage of to win against him, but obviously he lost.

Regardless, I think Ortiz would be a good fight I would want to see. To me, there's no other viable options for Floyd at this time.

    Khan - no
    Bradley - no
    Berto - no, he lost
    Martinez - possible
    Manny - never

Not sure I can co-sign that he was gunning for Berto rather than Ortiz. I think he was gunning for either one. This is Mayweather Jr. we're talking about... he sees vulnerabilities in all fighters other than himself.

C'mon now...Why gun for Berto when Ortiz would bring more money??

If anything Floyd was pulling for Ortiz.

          Fighting Ortiz brings more $$$

          Berto has no fan base.

He has to see vulnerabilities in himself, if not he wouldn't be so good.

I don't think Floyd should fight Martinez. Martinez is too big for Mayweather and Pacquiao. Most of Floyd's fights at welter he hasn't even made the limit. He and Manny are strong but relatively small welters. Martinez fights at 160... i'm sure he walks around at about 168. He's too big IMO and needs to stick to 160 and consider 168.

I just Googled and confirmed my thoughts:

"Ortiz also may have changed the superfight landscape for the near future. Floyd Mayweather Jr. was ringside and was rumored to be considering Berto for his next opponent."

For those that may not have noticed, undefeated pound-for-pound champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. was on hand at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in

"A source close to the information has informed us that Mayweather's attendance at the fight was no coincidence. Evidently, Mayweather was on hand to scout Berto for a potential showdown later this year."
