I'll admit, I was a major critic on how shitty 2011 was at fist but it has been way much better than what I thought so far. This weekend I thought it was going to be crappy but I was wrong on how exciting the fights were as well.

Fighter Of The Year to early to tell...but it's the general consensus that Nonito has the KO of the year. It would tough to see otherwise, matter fact i feel bad for the boxer that has to contend to such a devastating knockout.

Everything else in your post i wholeheartedly agree with.

Yeah Kirkland getting ko'd by a guy with six ko's did it for me,as far as upsets go.Berto didn't go down easy & Ortiz is clearly real at 147.

Fighter of the year: Nonito Donaire, definitely. Shame he won't capitalize on it because of the contract bullsh**.

Fight of the Year: Maidana-Morales. Close and action packed, those two never let up.

Upset of the year: Salido over Lopez. Ishida over Kirkland was more an upset but Salido's win impacted the sport far more.
