I don't view the Spanish as white. Even if they technically are. Just like I don't view Arabs as white even though they technically are.

I'm just trying to illustrate how meaningless this race concept is. Roy Jones will have some kinda white in him somewhere, just look at how pale he is compared to the majority of Africans. It's impossible to talk about race and prevent arguments from erupting.

It's easier if we forget it all just focus on either support your country's fighters or just enjoy the sport as a whole.

As a white brit, I support Amir Khan when he fights, but I also have no problem with Pakistani's supporting him too. There's no point in aruuging who he BELONGS to,

The 'latino' people are a result of crossbreeding between white AND the indigenous people of north america. This 'race' didn't even exist until the past 300-400 years.

Latino - LATIN, aka, descended from people of countries such as Spain, Portugal, Italy etc etc.

Obviously you'd have to go back hundreds of years to find the true heritage of fighters such as Sergio Martinez, Barrera, Alvarez, Morales, Margarito.

Some are gonna have more european ancestry and some are gonna have more native american.

I find it hard to believe that you can say someone like Sergio Martinez is 100 percent LATINO, wtf? How does he look any less white than the average spanish soccer player?



Then again, I have friends who are white who when in the sun have much darker skin tones than people such as Juan Manuel Marquez, Miguel Cotto etc

You guys need to realize that Europe consists of a LOT of countries. Scotland, England, France, Wales, Russia, Germany, Spain, Greece, hell, even parts of Turkey is considered part of Europe.
