Jones has height and reach, and is an outside fighter. I'm sure if Victor could take the fight on the inside, considering he does have better foot work than the average brawler, he could take it, and maybe get a KO, but I always favor the boxer

(I would love for Ortiz to prove me wrong again though)

To be more specific, I tend to favor a fghter with a terrific jab, and Jones has one.

Victor doesn't really jab, and he definitely ain't gonna outjab Jones. The thing with Victor, is that, he's not much of an inside fighter himself, he fights in spurts looking for opportunities, well, you can't wait and wait against busy jabber who has a significant height and reach advantage on ya.

Lets deal witht he present. On the basis of last nights performance, Ortiz will KO Jones. He needs a couple more fights before he goes for a title.
This Welterweight division is no joke.

It's more like you're disillusioned because of one great win over a guy who had no jab to speak of, only fights one way, and is the size of a tree stump.

Now, how in the hell does Vic's win last night in anyway say he can deal with what Jones brings to the table. The one thing Vic showed me last night that we all thought he didn't have any, is that he has peds, err balls.

And no, I'm not overrating him, styles makes fights. I just like Jones's upside when matching him up against someone like Ortiz.

Who knows, maybe down the line Jones gets beat by Berto and Jones ends up beating Ortiz anyway, that's boxing.

Jones has a good jab when he sits on it, sometimes he throws arm jabs which is really frustrating.

Ortiz was really impressive last night though he was able to get inside and land his punches and he never really gassed.
