Lopez himself said after the fight that none of these things affected him, he just got beat. No shame in that loss and he'll be back. No need for these excuses, all they do is reflect badly on him. Arum should just STFU.

Those things didn't have **** with Juanma losing. It was lack of defense, boxing skills, speed and a good gameplan. Juanma just goes in there winging it and swinging away, he has been a punch away from losing since Mtagwa.Comment

I think the fight was stopped way too prematurely. Lopez was clearly punching back, was not out on his feet. Give the champion the benefit of the doubt, or at least give Salido the satisfaction of truly knocking out his opponent.
This ****** stoppage reminded me of when Chop Chop Corley was "KO" by Cotto in Puerto Rico. ****** stoppage. The need to just let them fight in Puerto Rico, these guys are warriors let them fight.Comment

Juanma lost because he is chinny and needs to work on defense. Any boxer with sense should steer clear of Arum... He's got high risk/low reward written all over him. Cotto has been through hell and back and he doesn't have half what he should have to show for it. Can't wait for the day Bob Arum and Don King are not a part of boxing.... Great fight Salido!, what a warrior and true champ you are. Salido was at Lopez home tuff in P.R. with the bigger ring to benefit Lopez so he can run, and he still got put to sleep. Salido had Lopez dancing like a BALARINA in that ring. Lopez looked like Héctor Camacho and Salido looked like the great Julio César Chávez. Man you made Mexico pround vato!. Much Love and repect to p.ricans. dont take this to heart homies. Love the sport of boxing and both countrys have great champs. Viva Mexico. Bob Lopez said that hes divorce didn't effect him at all, plus he said he was ready to go because hes training camp went really well, so come on Bob no excuses for the hype job Lopez.Comment

that fight was a fluke...juanma was very fat and outta shape between fights,going through a divorce,looked like ****,not sharp at all....needs to go back to his style he had in his early days....whoever thinks that that was the best juanma out there last night is kidding themselves...i will admit he needs to get back to basics and become a boxer puncher,work on defense...box first,break opponent down,then go in for finish later. in his recent fights he wars out to much,throws wild loopy punches,comes in squared up,doesnt bring back hands to chin..if you look at his old fight he was waaaaay more sharp and technical!!there gonna do the rematch so juanma needs to get his personal life straight,concentrate on boxing,maybe even add a big time trainer cause obviously his techniqe is degressing bigtime!props to salido for coming in to pr and doing his thing,who knows,maybe this is the best thing for juanma in the long run...humble pie for sure,somtimes that aint a bad thing!!
