I mean, I wasn't obsessively concentrated on Floyd's occasional between-rounds cameos like some sad, monomaniac ****er might have been. I didn't tune in just to catch some glimpses of Floyd's flashbulb smile, like some loser guy with a school-girlishly ambivalent crush where his life should be would do.

I was, y'know, engrossed in the fight and buzzing from whichever round I'd just seen. But all I recall hearing were cheers. Maybe there were some boos mixed in. Or maybe I was just high on knockdowns and cheers were still ringing in my ears. I'll rewatch the fight later and try to pay a more morose level of attention to Floyd and the crowd's reaction to his appearance this time. Trying to put myself into the mind of some fat, nerdy, creepy, stalking, attention-starved, fame-seeking, Catcher In The Rye-carrying sociopath might help.

I was kind of high on the boxing match, though, Larry. Maybe, in my innocent glee at the top-flight firefight I was witnessing, I didn't pay enough attention to the noises of the crowd during those cuts to the semi-retired guy and the rapper.
