How much does Maidana weight on fight night? If it's anywhere near 155, then they should make it happen. That way, it's not a contest of who can cut the most weight and keeps them closer to their natural weight.

Maidana came in at 149 against Khan and 152 in his last fight vs. Morales.

Does Maidana still have Ortiz number? Or is Ortiz a different beast at 147?

Me thinks Maidana has work to do given the Morales fight. Morales exposed a lot of holes.

Maidana has only really fought up and coming guys. The savy veteran, multiple world champ, and future HOF, exposed a tremendous amount of flaws (and with only 1 eye the whole fight).

Who knows if Maidana's power will carry to 147? Would he be even slower than he is now?

Better would be to look for counter punching and move in and out. You have to actually slug with Maidana to give him opportunities.

I think this would be a war again just like their first fight, it dosen't matter who wins because the most important thing is that it would be a great fight.
