Victor Ortiz is still only 24 years old..

He's got a good 6 years left in the game at least if managed well, hard to believe after the set backs he's had so far in his career.

Maybe the Welterweight limit is all he needed to finally reach his potential, to put in in perspective, Berto was still fighting Michel Trabant and the likes at 24 years old.

Yep same as Amir Khan.. both have had setbacks (very bad loses) but now showing lots of promise and both World Champions. Goes to show the idiot "1 loss your a bum" crowd we get around here a lot.

The way he's fighting, at 30 he'll be 40 if able to fight at all. Either he goes back a level or he learns some defense because every one of those shots take a toll. Berto has very limited skills but good power. Imagine Ortiz fighting a guy who has power and can't miss, he can't do it. Still great improvement from last time around.

Yep, his team needs to throw him some bum fights and slow him down a bit.

he takes way too much punishment to fight till 30-32 imo, i see ortiz being like morales or margarito and eventually cracking under the amount of shots he takes

he needs to pick his fights very closely
