Pure boxing is just one of many styles in boxing... You hardcore May fans seem to think otherwise. Theres been many great fighters with non pure boxing skills.

cong**** to ortiz! what an amazing fight he put up. berto stepped up to the plate and fought a good fighter (despite him quitting and being gunshy, he has talent) and was tested. hope the best for them and their careers...tonight was vicious victor's night!!!

But what do I get out of my HBO subscription. Are these fighters my cousin, brother, or uncle?

What do I care if these fighters win 10 world championships.

        I want to be entertained.

Gatti and Ward were career B level fighters, yet people went to see these guys because they were fun to watch.

What you forget is that this sport is entertainment, and I signed up to see guys get into a slugfest. If I wanted to see dancing I'd flip the channel to see Dancing With Stars!!!

And L O FUCKING L at all the idiots complaing on how this was a shit fight. I was saying all along Ortiz is a naturall WW and a great fight between the two. Now all you fuckers are on here singing praise to Ortiz, get fucked.

Berto's flaws finally caught up to him and Ortiz was a Jr-middle-wt tonite. Dude came to fight. Berto didnt have the versatility to deal with it.

Geez. Berto didn't get exposed. Ortiz just wanted it more tonight. Berto only looked himself in the 6th round when he dropped Ortiz, but Ortiz wanted it more. He just had more dog in him tonight. I'd be there ringside for the rematch. As far as the JuanMa fight tonight, that stoppage was BAD. That ref needs to be choked with his bowtie.

While people are talking bad about Berto, he got off the canvas 3 times. That first knockdown was NOT a slip. He got up and kept fighting. I think he just wasn't there tonight and a rematch is definately due. No need to talk Pacquiao and Mayweather. This was a war and I would be in the arena if a rematch happens.

Who would ever thought that Ortiz would be the one to ask questions of Berto, when we thought it would the other way around. Ortiz thoroughly took Berto's heart and made him question himself and dominated him. Props to Ortiz for showing the other side of himself, that I'm not even sure he knew existed.

On a side note, Berto holds way to much and crouches down every time he gets inside, which is why he gets hit in the back of head. He was the one turning around every chance he got, and that referee should never be allowed back in championship fight, he came out the biggest loser of the night, in an otherwise awesome fight.
