I don't think there should be a rematch but whats the point of even having the fight if its going to get stopped becuase of a small cut. Stoppages and fights like that do nothing for the sport of boxing and it actually takes away from the sport. A lot of people who paid money to watch that fight are not going to pay money again. Mccloskey still had a chance to win that fight.

No need for a rematch, it was only a stay busy fight for Khan.

          Paul McQuitsky

Am I the only one paying attention to the fact that McClosky QUIT the fight? He loses every second of every round, quits, then asks for a rematch? Please.

when the fight was stopped , Mccloskey didnt react in a negative way towards the decision, he just calmly walked to his corner with the "i'm gettin my a.s.s whooped" face ... he had nothin to offer, he was no match for khan even though Amir had an off night himself. it seems after the bout, Paul's handler's got in his ear and told him to cry and b.i.t.c.h about it so he could regain some dignity after quittin like such a p.u.s.s.y in the biggest fight of his life.

no rematch u dont deserve it

Any idiot who knows boxing knows that when a southpaw and conventional fighter fight, heads are bound to clash. I have yet to hear of Amir ever intentionally headbutting anyone before this. This was clearly accidental and you are clearly a dumba$$ from your trailer park in 8 Mile....:*******:

I thought he quit as well but because of the cut-rate/amateur job of the audio and video crew, we couldn't hear what was being exchanged between the ref, doctor and fighter. But it looked to me that McCloskey wanted a way out and he got it. No rematch necessary since McCloskey is not an entertaining fighter to watch and Khan is ready for big things and a big money fight against Bradley.

So based on nothing you can assume he was gonna quit its simple McCloskey got screwed out of the fight by what looked like a payed off doctor. Khan's team probably thought he would have knocked him out by the 6th round. McCloskey looked in no physical danger from any of Khan's punches and deserved the chance to try carry out his game plan beacause Khan does lack stamina.

I wasn't too impressed with Khan in that fight. Something seemed off. On the other hand, McClowskey showed to be fairly hard to hit with the way he was sliping punches and all. BUT, its not like he did anything significant. Khan would beat him just as easily the 2nd time around.
