Cotto is #1 and Cintron is #2. If they fight it would be for THE RING Belt.

(Cintron signed with Top Rank today so this could definitely happen).

    Both Puerto Rican.
    Makes sense financially.
Both come to fight and are usually always exciting.

No, Cotto should sit out for several months and wait for Margarito to heal

Cotto has proven his courage and should only be making the safest big money at this late stage of his career.

damn, well there goes my hopes. The Bob pushed back cotto-margarito. This fight aint happening, move along folks nothing to see here.

It was formally announced Thursday by Top Rank that junior middleweight contender Kermit Cintron was joining their ranks. I rang Arum in Puerto Rico, where his marvelous little champ Juan Manuel Lopez fights Saturday night, to ask about plans for the James Prince handled Cintron. (Prince being the Houston Rap-A-Lot music mogul who used to manage Floyd Mayweather Jr. before they had a money dispute.)

This needs to happen if Cotto-Margarito can't get done. Would be an exciting ass fight. I think it would be really close too but Cotto would find it in himself to come out on top. Probably late stoppage.

of course.. fighting mayorga didn't prove anything

and cintron is a real test

Cotto hasn't done anything to prove that he's the fighter we used to believe in since he lost to margarito

while cintron's been putting in work

Good idea. I'm a big Cotto fan so it wouldn't hurt my feelings a bit if he wanted to fight every week. He ain't gettin' any younger...

After some of Cintron's whiny behavior, it'd be great fun watching Cotto pick him apart over several rounds and then KO him.

Not to say Cintron can't win. He's a big puncher. But at this point in their respective careers, that's all he gets (imo); a puchers chance.

                    Let's see it.
