Bob Arum interested in signing Khan?

    An exert from an article....

"Khan's current promoters Golden Boy - fronted by fight legend Oscar De La Hoya - want to renew their deal with the Bolton blaster. And rival promoter Bob Arum is also keen."

    Thoughts?

Doubt Khan would go to Bob Arum, he is going to get the fights he wants.

Obviously Arum wants him, what promoter wouldn't? Guy is a potential cash cow, already is in his home country.

Arum is working on getting Bradley now, so if he's able to do that (Bradley's contract with Shaw runs out next month) that might entice Amir and of course, a possible Pacquiao showdown.

Khan wants to move up to 147 and 154, meaning Cotto, Cintron, Pacquiao, etc are possibilities for him in the next few years if he goes with Top Rank.

Khan is fine where he's at so I don't think he'd make the jump. He hasn't had any problems getting any fight so far. The Bradley fight will happen. It will all work out.

How do you know? And where do they get it from, there have been reports that they are doing rather poorly lately and are short of cash. It was on these pages.......... which means, naturally that it must be exactly true, but you never can tell????

If they always offer more money (like the $250,000 in $20 bills in a suitcase) they offered Manny P. How come that they have very few topliners, some of the ones the have had recently moved away from them, and Top Rank, whom you say offers less, seems to be BOOMING, going from success to success, has by far the best roster of top fighters, and regarded as being the top promoters of all time?

That should be an answerable question.....

Khan seems to be like the little boy a the party who got sick from overeating. The saying used to be that "his eyes were bigger than his belly"........ Very ambitious I must say, for a guy who, the first time that he get's hit properly on the chin, will stagger around and fold.

Khan is only "big property" until he is KO'd, or is seen to be obviously matched with light hitters, or, when forced by public opinion to match against a hitter, makes sure it's a very sloow one like Maidana.

As a business venture, I personally wouldn't sign a guy with this flaw, without some sort of guarantee that his chin is at least normal, and his skills are super normal enough so that it won't matter. Not for a huge signing fee anyway.
