Kubrat Pulev vs. Ray Austin on May 7

This fight has been rumored to be in discussions for several weeks and is now confirmed. It will be on the same card as Evander Holyfield vs. Brian Nielsen on May 7 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Nice to see up-and-coming HWs like Helenius, Glazkov and Pulev taking on veterans like Peter, Bahktov, Guinn and now Ray Austin.

Good to see American heavyweights follow in the footsteps of all the lighter Mexican fighters that make their living as tune-ups for upcoming prospects.

This is the fight where pulev needs to look impressive!
Even though its hard to look good against austin i hope pulev stops him!

It's good for boxing. When there's too many old HWs who should retire hanging on, it makes the division and the sport look bad. Fights like this give them a way to show whether they still have what it takes or not. Some like Toney and Rahman are too proud to fight a talented young opponent.

But even Muhammed Ali fought an up-and-coming Trevor Berbick in his final fight.

i am not saying that pulev wasnt impressive so far in his pro carrer!
I really think pulev has the best potential to be a dominant guy after klitschkos are done! Even better than helenius or boytsov! i just want him to make a big statement and knock austin out!

This is great because it will eliminate Austin from the WBC mandatory spot.

Pulev is good but kinda boring, he needs to pull the trigger.

Yes. He has excellent technical boxing skills, but he seems to lack killer instinct sometimes.

I like Pulev, but I prefer to watch Helenius and Boytsov because when they see an opportunity, they go for the KO.
