    Boxing Scene Rankings

We all hate the sanctioning bodies. Every good fan should. So I was thinking that maybe we should just have our own rankings for each weight class and our own recognized champions and ignore the WBC and the WBO and all that bull****. It could be done with a vote, with a meeting, I'm not sure how, but it's something that would be cool if the whole forum participated in...at least the whole forum that's interested in boxing outside of two stars. What do you guys think of the idea? And yes, I understand we can't put together fights and all, but it would go a long way (at least on here) towards there being a "champion" again instead of "titleists."

        Yeah, I guess I didn't consider that.

Honestly, a great a noble idea. The problem, as stated above is that Floyd Mayweather would be the champion at Flyweight, with Manny Pacquiao as the reigning Heavyweight champion.

Still, there is a rather simple way around this. You find the most loyal and unbias members of the board. Say, five guys. Then, you have them run the situation. They have final say so on the matter. Every so often, you could change up the committee or you at least reasses the rankings.

Along the way, you could vote on who should be champion in the division. While we can't make match ups, we could always have champions. If the title is vacant, then the number one guy is moved into his spot.

Still, it's a long shot with how bias some of the "fans" on this site have become.
