I can't wait til Khan whips Bradley so you lot would stop talking about how good Bradley is and i even like Bradley he is one of my favourite fighters but Khan is going to beat him.

Yeah, I don't people it! People like PRBOXINGCOTTO and BoxingFan76 trash Khan for taking a tune-up fight before the biggest fight in the 140 lbs divsion. If he would've just waited for Bradley, he would have just sat on the shelf for 8 months. And dumb BoxingFan 76 can't even get his facts straight. If you look at his signature, he said Chavez was 89-0 before he lost which is incorrect. Chavez was a 87-0 when he got a gift draw vs. Pernell Whitaker and was 89-0-1 when he lost to Frankie Randall. No need to listen to these two fools...

Bradley's last fight before Khan: Devon Alexander
Khan's last fight before Bradley: Paul McCloskey

Doesn't mean anything, but let's not pretend that we absolutely have to have tune-ups before big fights. Khan didn't need a tune-up. The last thing that McCloskey is going to end up being anyway is a tune-up. Just a quick cash grab for Khan that fell apart once Sky dumped him.

No there doesn't need to be tune-ups before big fights however two things:

              a) Khan promised his next fight would be in the U.K. and there is no guarantee that Khan vs. Bradley would be staged there...
              b) HBO had already designated a July date for Khan vs. Bradley. Khan would have had to sit around 8 months waiting which he didn't want to do...

Sure, the supposed easy big payday fell apart for Khan however what is he supposed to do, cancel? If he cancels, then the entire card gets cancelled and all the unknown fighters or early prospects on the undercard who trained hard lose a payday and get absolutely nothing. And those are the guys that probably need the money to put a roof over their head and food on their table. If Khan would have cancelled, that would have made Khan look worse and completely selfish. Most fighter's if their paycheck got slashed by that much of huge percentage would have walked. You have to give him credit that he stuck by it regardless that he didn't get what was promised to him.

The principle fact you're ignoring is that Khan vs Bradley wouldn't have happened until July anyway. The date earmarked for the fight has always been July 23rd. A fight in between isn't going to do anyone harm and gives boxing fans an extra date on a sometimes bare calender. McCloskey is a good, popular, and undefeated European Champion, and widely ranked as a top 10 JWW. Most boxing fans will regard it as a tune up, but in reality, it is a decent match-up everybody should relish.

I don't have a problem with this fight, as long as Khan doesn't lose. I wanna' see Khan/Bradley.
