Even Solis himself admitted that the injury happened AFTER the punch landed when he got knocked down.

The injury happened because his equilibrium was gone and BOTH legs were gone from the temple shot, watch the replays.

Legit 1st round KO win for Vitali.

39 KOs in 42 wins, greatest heavyweight champ KO% of all time.

Solis has a knee injury sure...just like the guy who gets shot in the face and falls down an elevator has a broken back. The broken back and the knee injury both arent the reason for the fall. Vitali thought he knocked Solis down and that Solis was pulling a b1tch move and ending the fight. Vitali is also a businessman who has to deal with the fact that he has had trouble becoming big in the U.S.A....he knew he was on Epix and probably wanted to put on a good show, and was mad that Solis didnt take the beating like guys like Briggs, Danny Williams, Sosnowski and pretty much everyone Vitali has fought since Lewis has taken.

You should not care what haters have to say and in fact you should look at them with pride because that is what they need to do to make them self feel better about things not going the way they desire.

Like for example if a moron calls you a moron, you should be happy about it because a moron feeling that way most likely means the exact opposite~

I must say I AM confused. And this rarely happens. How can it be, that an alltime record world title holder keeps attacking and punching, much more than his opponent, KO's him in the very first rd. and someone can still come on this site and say "he didn't look good"........

The guy is either joking or is ready for the room with the padded walls.

Of course the amount of absolute rubbish one sees on these pages on a daily even hourly basis is beyond description. But this one really grabbed my attention. No offence meant......

You have wonderful eyesight, and should be a National Treasure. You have been able to see what no other boxing onlooker caught. To those with ordinary eyesight like me, it looked as if Klitschko was pursuing Solis, advancing and punching all the time, whilst Solis would make a little pause and let go a 2-3 punch combination, which mostly didn't land, then resume his backwards travels.

              Wonderful eyesight.

well I'd like to a see a vitali - solis rematch but besides that Ive always respected the klitschko's for there accomplishments. the only thing i dislike is when people take there wins and make it as if they both beat them.

He wasn't slow and old, he was his normal self, imposing himself on his opponent. He can be faster or slower as he feels he needs to be. His footwork, hand speed and accuracy , especially for a such a huge man, are impressive, he is rarely out of position, and can hit his opponent from almost any angle.

He always begins a fight by waving his left hand up and down, in and out a bit, sizing up the best way to get at the guy. Perhaps because of that, he looked slower to you. Actually, because of his age, I wouldn't blame him, but only a few fights ago his footwork and speed of movement were so impressive that they was specifically mentioned in the reports and commentaries. Can't recall against whom though.

I don't agree with you this time.

I actually heard Klitschko say-you probably did too- that he hit him a very hard punch.

So the facts are that he hit him hard enough to knock him down, caught him with perfect timing just as Solis ducked down after throwing a combo himself, none of which landed, Jellied his legs and on the way down really injured his knee. If he hadn't had the knee injury he might have been able to get up in time, I don't know and no one will ever know, but he didn't, so it's a KO.

I have sympathy for Solis as he was brave enough to fight a guy that everyone has been avoiding like poison, and I know that the injury will cause him lots of trouble before it gets better. It'll take a long time. Klitschko himself snapped the major cruciate ligament, the one right in the centre of the knee, (Solis' was at the back of the knee joint) and it was well over a year before he could even walk properly, and it took him out of boxing for nearly 4 years.

Of course a little politicking there too.
