Most Mexicans kids actually don't join boxing because

1. They are working at 10 years old
2. The ones that have money think it's beneath them
3. They prefer soccer

Alot of the Mexican pros have like 4-20 records but they do it as a supplement income whereas if a Rican discovers he's not a good boxer he quits the game because he will not go hungry.
