And people discredit the calderon loss but i remember how every thought calderon who out box him. And even know people say calderon could beat any one except segura yet he is shot and old how does that work?
As for marquez lopez its was a mismatch going in and if a rematch is made its even more bull. But i respect posters like you that argue but dont come up with bull excuses like per capita sht or come with **** like some one was a drug addict and other bulls. I will givw props when props are due when two guys face each other like margs vs cotto where the outcome was not certain. Those are the fights i enjoy. Even the rematch and props to winner. Props to lopez gamboa winner if it ever gets made sadly these dont happen to often.

So if you wanna scream Viva Mexico on this one, be my guess but seriously, keep it in perspective kid. If you seriously think Mexico has domintated PR in the ring, give me stats that prove that everytime PR and Mexcio meet in the ring, Mexico "dominates."
But here let me give you a hit list these fighter all lost that one big fight. These we anticipated fights that could of gone either way and your legends lost.
Gomez rosario camacho laporte cotto cintron calderon these are some of your best fighters to come out of pr and they lost.

Originally posted by oneofficial View Postin terms of talent now everything is a toss up. A lot of it has to do with a matter of taste. JMM is one of my favorite fighters hands down, but am I sure he is better than any pr boxer out...no way i personally think Cotto (the new, but really old Cotto ) the boxer is more talented than most boxers around...IDK its hard to judge hypothetical ideas like that, which is part of why I never say WE are definitively better or vice-versa. Calderon is very old come on 37 but he chose to fight segura, and like a man chose to fight again, and afterward gave no excuse except segura is too powerful (not an excuse, its props) People will always say how there man will do this and that, but they are speaking with emotion. As far as calderon is concerned, Talent wise I am not sure there has ever been a purer master of the art of boxing from either PR or Mexico....but if you ever ask someone, they hate him, because of his style. But the man mastered the art of boxing (hit and don't get hit) and the average opponent he faced is 4 inches taller than him, and he at 37 yrs old just lost his first pro fights......what other boxer can say that ? None the less most people will argue that to death, but those are the facts. There i no definitive answer as to who is better. I know JMM beat Pacman twice, but try to convince the rest of the world that! LOL

ALL Do also have way more people period, not say couple hundred thousand, but hundreds of millions more. He goes about it the wrong way, but pr literally has less than 4 million people to be 3rd place in the entire world for number of world champs is phenomenal, but its just 1 more stat. As far as other countries are concerned, none touch PR and Mexico.

Marquez is a true warrior and his combination are insane. And yes there has been finito lopez was way better than calderon and he retired undefeated. He was a master boxer with power. And calderon did make excuse the same thing you are sayingthat he is to small. If he feels hes to small to compete with these guys than dont get in the ring. Yea he is old but poeple here where goin on and on how he would school segura and look what happend. There was even some dumbasses who tought he would win the rematch.
