when PAC first came to the US, they claimed that they brought him to several trainers and were rejected...they didn't see anything special

what i want to know is, who were those trainers that passed on PAC

You cant coach someone who is unwilling to put in the work to become an elite fighter.

and also, simply surrounding yourself by high level boxers will make you better. If youre getting sparring rounds in against awesome guys, youre going to learn a lot more than sparring against bums.
Which is why Oscar de la Hoya was very talented. He was always around the gym and had a lot of big name, talented fighters to spar with ever since he was a teenager. He was a teenager ****ing up guys much older than him. I'm not talking about plowing through them ala Tyson, but more like boxing and tagging the crap outta' them.

Toney didn't become a noticably greater fighter when he hooked up with roach, neither did tyson or de la hoya.

If roach was so incredible a trainer, why can't he just find another no talent, no skill, no intelligence fighter and make him a 7 division world champion?
Pac was already a world champ before hooking up with roach. Already part of the elite. Just unknown to the u.s because of its general disregard for the lower weights at the time.

Not exactly the definition of no talent no skill no intelligence

Negative! Negative! Negative! Roach also made Toney a super fighter who, like Pacquiao, moved up many divisions to beat heavyweight champ John Ruiz!!!!!! You been learnt again, foo. Oh wait a minute, Toney was also on steroids. Never mind.:werd:

You serious? Haters of the world will always hate. It burns some people to see some one else accomplish things they can never accomplish.

If it was some dude we never heard of prior to training Manny, would these accomplishments be met with the same hate?

The questions some of you guys ask here are just plain ******. Really, how old are you guys?
