Juan ma also brings in the bigger numbers in PPV and ticket sales. Gamboa even though a great fighter hasnt fought anyone at marquez's level... and rafa is juan manuel marquez's younger brother who is fighting a few weight divisions above 126... and about orquestrating carreers check out your boy saul alvarez he just got a title at 154 by beating a feather fisted(just like luevano) welter weight.... Atleast juanma beat guys in his weight division to win his titles guys with title defences...
How dare you speak against The great Canelo you dirty little Puerto WEAKan. He's a legit champ who's ducked nobody, cabron. Nobody........ not. Canelo isn't the first and he won't be the last Mexican who's career is milked to maximize $$$. Anyways, you were almost right on all your tu qoque silliness. First off, you didn't justify how JuanMa the token Rican can demand superstar $$ before he's a superstar. That's putting the cart before the horse. Maybe he'll be great with a weak chin and average speed. Who knows. I just don't see it. As for JMM, JML wants to fight Donaire who's a couple of divisions smaller. JMM and JML are much closer in size but JML won't ever fight him. Same ol' same ol'. Just keepin it real.:dunno:

Juanmarica's path to greatness continues with a cab driver who has 11 losses and just got tore up by gamboa followed by a one foot in the grave marquez after that. I can't think of another fight id like to see on my Showtime than juanmarica against a pre-determined tomota can for my subscription. Im going to have some people over and tell them they should get into boxing and tell them to subscribe to premium networks to get the fights as this is the type of stuff we get and its great. Then we can all talk about how great juanmarica is after the fight and his showdown with rafa marquez' corpse. Juanmarica, GOAT, 5 div titlist in waiting, legend, etc

It would be inaccurate to call Juanma great but it would also be inaccurate to say he won't be great. We have to wait and see to make a fair judgement. As for Salido, he's much better than his record indicates and this is JML's toughest fight yet if Salido can make weight.

Why would we when you guys fight our lesser talented fighters and avoid our best and the best of the world?
This is exactly why I stopped getting into this "debates".

Border Patrol is doing a good job , but he will eventually notice and realize that is a pointless thing to do. And like me , he will eventually stop returning fire.

Back to topic. In every fighters path to greatness there are always those limited fighters full of heart , determination , hunger in their own quest to greatness. Even if they somehow recognize they are underdogs and that their chances are slim , they will go in there willing to pour their heart out.

With something to prove , Salido is one of those fighters who can be considered as a stepping stones. A fighter that will give you a rough test , a hard time in the ring and that is not a pushover.

When you talk about skill , this is not the most skilled fighter Juanma has faced. But IMO he is right there behind Marquez as the toughest out to get. I dont really expect a blowout from Juanma.

Salido has a very good chin , he is not a technician but he applies his own technique. Very patient , very confident , decent power. And even though he doesnt have the boxer style , he has an idea of what it is and you can tell its their somewhere in his style.

Juanma should win late. Because he is the fresher , younger , stronger , most skilled out of the 2. But it wont be a walk in the park. He will have to put work. Salido is coming to win , not to get a paycheck. And his heart and toughness alone make it a fight.

Well, maybe Gamboa softened Salido up a little bit. Kinda like Juanma going to war with Mtagwa and almost getting KTFO in the last two rounds hanging on for dear life while Gamboa demolished Roger in two rounds. The pendulum swings both ways. You can't just bend everything your way, you gotta look at the bigger picture. Both guys right now are feasting on guys they are supposed to look good against and both have had their troubles. It's the way it is, live with it...

It seems like that'll play right into Lopez's plans, as JuanMa seems interested in developing as a boxer. Lopez intends to use Saturday's fight as a tune-up for Marquez II. JuanMa probably doesn't want to get into another slugfest with Rafa.

I see an exhibition on the horizon. I think Lopez will do exactly as he said. It'll be interesting to see JuanMa break down a worthy Salido and drop the hammer late. If that doesn't happen, it might mean a war.
