This thread is really exposing the ******s on this site.

If Martinez wants a stay busy fight it should be this summer (not fall) on ESPN2 for 50k...yeah right.

He's gonna want near a million to fight. If HBO puts on this fight i'm canceling my subscription.

      Define "coming off a win"

Anyone who calls Ishida and easy fight for Martinez is jumping the gun. Ishida is fast, accurate as hell, has a solid chin, and has a country behind him. He beat Alvarez's brother and was robbed and now Kirkland. Martinez would most likely win but it wouldn't be easy.

And if what you say is true and HBO doesn't want Piron on their network hwo is that Sergio Martinez's fault. Or do you expect Sergio to say screw you HBO and go to Russia to fight Pirog. If HBO wants Pirog to fight Martinez and the money is right WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD SERGIO NOT TAKE THE FIGHT?

You should have cancelled your HBO subscription when Berto fought his 10th bum on the network.

Well HBO is in the Martinez business not Pirog business.

So if Martinez team wanted to unify against Pirog, HBO will show it.

HBO is not interested in show casing Pirog. But, they will show case Martinez

              Do you see the difference?

Martinez is not interested in Pirog bottom line. Hence the Dibella "fuck Pirog" quote.

If this fight happens, it will be garbage. Some 35 year old Japanese figher, with a HORRIBLY CRAP record, is going to fight Martinez, simple becasue said Japanese dude exposed a hyped up bum?

Martinez is not going to fight Pac, since Pac is too small. And FLoyd WILL never WANT a piece of Martinez, we all know that. So Martinez has to move up to 168 if he wants to reach the level of fame that Pacquiao and FLoyd have.

And why is Martinez repeatedly calling out Floyd and Manny, two much smaller fighters, this is a cheap move. Fight bigger guys at 168 too prove you are great, not smaller ones.
You want to know why Sergio is calling out Manny and Floyd? MONEY. Sergio is 37 years old and hasn't made the millions that Manny and Floyd have made.

Can you blame the guy for wanting a payday?

So what's your point? One mismatch justifies the other?

Oh and what a coincidence that Dibella always tries to get away with this ****. This is not a slight against Martinez, but Dibella is a loudmouth joke. He talks down the fans and the sport and then tries to pull this off.

It doesn't matter what Dibella and Sergio want, it is the HBO execs who make the final decision. If HBO does not want Pirog on their network they won't have him!!

Dibella and Sergio do not run HBO, they just fight whomever HBO approves. HBO wanted Williams vs Martinez 2. And they got it. HBO wanted Martinez vs Sergei. And they got it. IF HBO doesn't want Pirog boo f'ing hoo. It's not Martinez's fault.

The difference is that Martinez has given HBO subscribers great fights, and Berto, who has faught about 10 more times than Martinez, getting paid more money than Martinez, fighting bum after bum, has yet to produce entertaining and compelling fights.

                      That;s the difference.
