Comments Thread For: Sergio Martinez-Nobuhiro Ishida Explored For The Fall

BoxingScene.com has been advised by manager Edison "Eddy" Reynoso, that Nobuhiro Ishida (23-6, 8KOs) has received an offer to face middleweight king Sergio Martinez (47-2-2, 26KOs) in the fall. On Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Ishida pulled off the upset of the year by stopping previously unbeaten James Kirkland in the first round. Within two minutes, Ishida dropped Kirkland three times before referee Joe Cortez stopped the contest. Martinez was sitting ringside as an expert analyst for HBO Latino.

He doesn't fight nobodies though, only the best. He wouldn't ever fight a soft touch because Sergio is perfect.

We'll see if it actually happens, probably not.

Nobody does just like nobody thought Pac vs Clottey, Margarito and Mosley was/is good...... hey at least Ishida is winning................ right?????

At the end of the day I don't see this happening. Throw Martinez's name out there with the "tragedy in Japan" topic and call it good PR work nothing more.
