Which Interpreter Do You Prefer? Jerry Olaya Or Ray Torres?

To be brutality honest, the best translator I've seen lately is that translator who was translating for Sergio Martinez after he KO Paul Williams.

That dude said everything verbatim, I wish somebody would hire him, I feel bad for the fans who don't speak english cause I feel they're getting short charged.

I agree with you. The guy translating for Sergio was even emphasizing the same words that Sergio was. But for me Olaya > Torres. Torres sounds like he's always taking a shit or something.

The best translator I have seen is Ricardo Mayorga's translator/friend. That dude is spot on everytime..

My parents hate both.

They got a kick out of hearing Casamayor speak Spanish though.

Not sure why. Must be the dialect.

He was very particular about using his own guy after the Marquez or Kats fight.

...for me, i like Ray Torres...i'm not fluent in espanol but i get the feeling that Torres doesn't filter his translations and just says what he hears


when you hear a translation of 'beat the **** out of him' or 'put water on his balls' then you have an ATG translator

Absolutely, precisely m****ing spot on! My spanish is far from perfect, but even I can tell that Oyala is by far the more accurate of the 2 and I don't care.

Ray Torres is superior in every other conceivable way right down to the genetic level and he's just alot more fun to have as part of the broadcast.
