That's NOT TRUE.....

One writer's opinion. Going by the rings ratings themselves, and matching up opponents accordingly, Clottey was better ranked at welter than Dzinziruk was at jr middle and had beaten/fought better fighters (not to mention martinez fought him at middleweight).

Hatton and Pavlik were lineal champs, unbeaten in their divisions. Both coming off bad lossed to top p4p fighters. Hatton had worked his way back to be ranked top 10 p4p, schooling and beating the **** out of the best contdender maligngaggi. Pavlik had slipped out due to the embarrassing schooling Hopkins gave him and only beating a couple bums after.

Cotto and Williams are about the same, both ranked down the bottom of the top 10 p4p lists when martinez first fought williams (williams was about 5 in the 2nd fight). cotto was top 3 at welter, don't think williams was yet ranked at middle. cotto was a multiple weight champ, williams had fought at a few weights only had one title. both had recent losses, cotto to margo, williams to quintana, though he avenged that. cotto fought the better oppostion (margo, mosley, clottey, judah) than williams (margo, quintana)

Margarito and Cintron, no question margarito is the better opponent. margarito was coming off a bad loss to mosley, but so was cintron, smashed by none other than margarito a couple fights before martinez fought him. cintron wasn't even ranked in the top 100 p4p when he fought martinez, and wasn't even top 10 at 154.

a non-biased, non-sergiosexualised opinion wouldn't dare say martinez has the far better opposition.

He should be more worried about Donaire taking #1 since the Ring seems to favor him (putting him over Sergio after the Montiel win). Unless Nonito stays inactive or Arum gets him back and gives him ****ty fights as punishment.

The reason I say this is because Donaire's division has more competition than Sergio's.

Pwill 1 win - 1 loss, scared to give Pwill a rematch which he has been asking for

Pavlik - only claim to fame was beating a washed up Jermaine Taylor and was going thru a personal crisis and was a alcoholic and was never a good fighter in the first place

Drizurick - not even in the same weight class and didn't fight at a catchweight. Had the fight been at 154 Martinez would've got his assed whooped.

Martinez doesn't have a single HOFer on his resume.

Martinez got KTFO my Margarito and Pacquiao toyed around with Margarito and Martinez is STILL scared to rematch Margarito and Pwill.

He wants Pac to move up to 154 but he himself said he can't make 154 without cutting off a leg and he can't move up to 168 because his muscles are too small.

Martinez is the biggest hype job in boxing today. And yes Pirog would KTFO outta Martinez which is why he already ducked him once and his promoter said "We'll NEVER fight Pirog" and "Keep Martinez out of your mouth" which is a sure sign that they are threatned and scared. Hence the negotiations with Manfredo, aka another bum.

All-in-all, that is a damn shabby line-up for a supposed P4P fighter, especially when you consider all of the advantages afforded to 27% during those fights..... e.g. fighting for a vacant JMW title, at catch-weight, against a BUM, and using 8oz gloves

Now, I can understand a top fighter taking the odd bout against a lesser opponent.....
but EVERY opponent in your last 7 fights?

The last time 27% fought a live dog was Marquez II, and according to a significant number of trainers/fighters/journalists/analysts..... HE LOST!!

SUMMARY: There is no question that 27% is a manufactured fighter, with a padded resume'..... quite simply, just more Top Rank smoke and mirrors.

I thought the Mayweather fans were delusional but some of you pac nuthuggers are starting to get bad. Martinez's last three fights. 1. Pavlik linear middleweight champ 2. P. Will on everybodys p4p list. 3.Dzinzurik 37 and 0 undefeated jr. middle champ. All beaten in style. Pacs last three fights Cotto, Clottey, and Margarito. Two shot fighters and a quitter. Pac was lumped up in all three fights. **** I can say Pac has never beaten a top fighter at the top of their game with the exception of marquez and that was iffy.

Hatton=Pavlik
Cotto=Williams
Dzinziruk>Clottey
Margarito>Cintron
DLH>Williams's loss

And FWIW.....Mosley>Manfredo.

Also Martinez has only won three outta those five fights, which if my math is correct, is only 60%

Not only is Manny undefeated during that time frame, he has completely dominated his opposition, something Martinez can't lay claim to. I know it's hard not to, but please don't throw rocks and the thrown. Manny isn't losing his top spot unless he gets beat, so deal with it....

Also Sturm isn't leaving Germany, Angulo has legal issues that will prevent him from fighting in the US, and It's almost a given that Margarito will **** Cotto in the rematch. So I really wish someone would explain how Martinez passes up Manny? His only chance is to hope Manny accepts a 152-154 catchweight...otherwise he is **** outta luck.
