Alexander ain't up there with Bradley/Khan but he is still enough for Morales..

Maidana is a slow but tough and hard hitting slugger.. that's why Morales did so well

Agree with this quote. Morales is not the same boxer as the one who ruled the Super Bantamweight, Featherweight, and Super Featherweight divisions. Morales in Junior Welterweight is slow, power is still questionable, and flat footed. He is not as bouncy as he was in the lower weight divisions. We all know the reason why Morales chose Maidana the reasons are:
      - Maidana is slow.
      - Maidana has no technique.
      - Maidana only knows one gear and that is drive (straight forward).
      - Maidana is not a counter-puncher.

Morales against Alexander or even Zab Judah will be a difficult fight for him. He can't follow boxers who bounces too much around the ring. And Alexander and Judah both have techniques and are quick defensive counter punchers.

The reason why Morales wants Marquez are:
      - Marquez is slow.
      - Marquez doesn't move around the ring too much. He is mostly stationary waiting to counter punch an opponent.
      - Marquez is right there in the center for Morales to go after.

In this fight, Morales and Marquez are both even because they are slow, flat footed, great techniques, and great counter-punchers.

What people must realize is that the Morales of today is more of a counter-puncher now. He still engages in brawls but he has to tone it down. Or else, a closed eye won't just be his problem. He can seriously get knocked out especially by boxers like Judah, Alexander, and even Marquez (who has been active, last fight of his was December 2010). Maidana almost did it early in those first 3 rounds. He tried to go toe-to-toe but failed. However, Morales realized he couldn't take shots like he used to be (see Barrera vs Morales I and Pacquiao vs Morales I) and he started using footwork to get out of the way then counter punch his way out too. Round 5 and upwards, Morales was using footwork, counter punching, and technique to get the better out of Maidana. Still, Maidana did enough to secure the win and there are no controversies in the judges' decision cards.

Morales should have chosen Juan Diaz as he would own that guy in the Lightweight division. "The Ghost" vs "El Terrible" is not a bad fight too since both are flat footed and come forward fighters. And to be honest, it will be a boxing match of techniques not counter punching or ring generalship. I think Morales chose Junior Welterweight because it isn't such a bad weight drain since we all know that he got fat in those 2 years of vacation. He looked like he sported a gut of 180lbs. So, in 1 year and 4 months he managed to lose 40lbs and maintain it which is not bad. His first comeback fight was at 147lbs (Welterweight division) so he lost 33lbs.

Alexander is a robot, can't adjust for crap. In saying that I think its a bad match up for Morales, Alexander would tie up every chance h e gets when Morales comes in. Pretty uneventful fight.

Alexander is so good that he looked like dog **** against Kotelnik?

And khan schooled Kotelnik. It's not even close Khan is way better. And khan made Maidana look like a school girl for 9 rounds.

                S. Americans and Mexicans maybe good at fighting but no one is going to remember them for brains.

Alexander by easy and boring decision. His style isn't one Morales could beat at this point.

As much as I would root for the legend,Alexander would not be right in front of Morales..Alexander wins a lopsided victory over Morales by UD..
