What always confused me is why do they give the Jim Lampleys jobs as a commentator? Why not give it to someone with plenty of pro boxing experiences under the belt, Chop Chop Corley for example.

Lampley is not a boxing analyst. Different commentators have different jobs. Lampley is a talented announcer, and his job is to announce what's happening in an exciting and professional manner. Roy Jones and Manny Steward are there to provide the real boxing experience in the mix, and Larry Merchant is there to talk some **** and make jokes.

Lampley does a pretty good job IMO.

He deserves he is the goat. So is lampley both great at what they do.

Im not sure but i think he gets like 20K per show and more on PPVs and bigger shows
