I don't know why so many fans write off Chad Dawson because of his loss against Jean Pascal. All of a sudden he's considered to be some kind of bum. I'm still a big fan of Chad and Im looking forward to see him put a beating on Adrian Diaconu next month. A year from now I think Chad will be on top of the world as the number 1 LHW.

I too am a big fan of Bad Chad. I don't really know what to think of that performance against Pascal cause he seemed unwilling to pull the trigger. It will be interesting to see if there is any change in his style under Steward. Is the fight with Diaconu on for sure? I remember reading something about Gary Shaw not wanting to fight another Canadian in Canada...but in terms of boxing talent Dawson is already number one in my book at 175, he just needs to go out an prove it in the ring.

He won't prove me wrong. I still think he's the class of his division he just needs to let his hands go. The only way he proves me wrong is if he lays a turd in his fight with Diaconu.

dawson got all the tools to be great, but something is missing.... great conditioning or heart... probably heart

Dawson has all of the physical tools, but his mental isn't where it needs to be to become an elite. I noticed in the Pascal fight Chad could not adjust to what was happening, and the ability to use your ring iq and adjust to what your opponent is doing, like the mayweathers, hopkins, marquez, and martinez's, is what separates the really good fighters from the elite.

Yes it is. Dawson ended up agreeing to it. They were advertising it last night.

Still till this day I feel that Dawson truly is the biggest let down in the sport of boxing, in the last 10 years or so. All the skills in the world but so many outside the ring issues and just not being dedicated enough to his craft. He could still become a top P4P fighter but he had the skills to be a really great fighter.
