Neither of them are 'smart' fighters. But Katsidis applies smarter pressure, cuts the ring better and is a better finisher than Maidana. Overall I like his style of fighting better.

But the main reason why Katsidis is among my favourite fighters is because of his attitude. This guy never acts like a diva outside the ring and has the heart of a warrior. He transcends his personality in the ring. Katsidis took on all corners and fought guys who were stylistically his nightmare.

Maidana, for the big heart he shows inside the ring, isn't the "I'd fight anybody anywhere" type he makes out to be.

hell, Maidana gave Khan an oppertunity to defend his belt against Paulie in his US debut before the WBA was going to strip him. Maidana was his mando since the Ortiz fight. Khan needed more time. Maidana gave him that time.

no, Salita was chosen cuz of his followin. He wasnt even in the top 50.

Maidanas handlers were trying to fool him and offered him a joke just to keep all the money for themselves. Maidana was about to quit boxing handlers then kept telling the media it was a back injury.

Maidana told the truth in a interview and finally forced the WBA for the Khan fight.
