I didn't order the card last night, and got questions.

First off, props to Morales for putting up a great effort. But I do have some questions since I didn't see the card last night.

For one, is Maidana just not that good or is Morales less shot than what we thought he was or a little of both?

And what does this say about Amir Khan? Does his stock drop too along with Maidana's? Because by the way some people are talking on here, Morales did better against Maidana than Khan did?

And does anybody think Guerrero is a legit opponent for JMM? Even a tougher challenge than Judah? It seems like this dude is so inconsistent. One minute, he'll be beating good fighters impressively like Honario and Katsidis, and then struggle with dudes that he's supposed to beat easily like Yordan and Casamayor.

Was Kirkland-Yashida a premature stoppage? And that's the biggest shocker of this card. Kirkland got stopped by a dude with a low KO record. That is like a freak occurence right there.

    1) Morales looked a little shot but still had a little of his old self left in the tank. Maidana is there to be hit but can take some good shots so it was a little of both.

    2) Given the circumstances (an old Morales coming up in weight) Morales did better than Maidana. He practically fought with one eye close the whole fight and managed to hurt Maidana. I think Khan's stock is still up there he just needs to keep fighting notable opponents.

3)Guerrero is definitely a good rival for Marquez. Guerrero was accurate and looked pretty sharp. His technique was impressive and Marquez is not getting any younger

    4) As for Kirland, judge for yourself

1little of both,2 no khan is what he is made out to be a great talent with a below average chin3 Guerrero is legit he showed very good skills and good pop. He has been inconsistent though 4 Kirkland couldn't defend himself and was going to be hurt not a bad stoppage although I would have rather seen him get ktfo so we wouldn't hear all these excuses....................sorry for the way I responded but I'm posting from my phone.

I didn't order this card because I figured the only fight on it that would be competitive was the Guerrero-Katsidis fight. The main reason I didn't order it was because I thought Morales was gonna get slaughtered, and I thought that GBP was taking advantage of a past prime great fighter with a big fan base. So I felt like if I ordered that card and the opposite of last night happened, then I would be lining pockets of people who don't care for the well being of a faded once great fighter.

Morales did look better than he did in recent fights(body wise and fight wise) but I'd lean more on Maidana being very limited and not as good as most people think. He's good, top 5 in the division but not better than Bradley, Khan, or even Alexander.

I try not to use the triangle theory so I won't comment too much on if this hurts Khan. It does diminish his victory a little bit but not much imo. Khan did better against Maidana though, I don't think that is debatable. In the Khan right Maidana had moments but you could clearly tell he was outclassed. In the Morales fight it was close nearly the whole fight.

Guerrero is clearly a legit opponent to JMM. Both Judah and Robert are tough fights for JMM and I could see either fighter possibly winning. I'd favor JMM a bit more over Robert than Zab but only by a **** hair. Both guys have a good chance.

Yes, it was premature. James probably would of lost but we don't know. Cortez took the fight into his own hands, like he always does.

Maidana was Maidana. He looked no worse than he usually does to me, he was just up against an incredibly experienced and skilled boxer.

Maidana is very crude in a lot of ways, but he is deceptively accurate and is good at selecting his shots and learning which ones his opponent is susceptible to as the fight goes on. There is always a lot of quality mixed in with his quantity.

Morales put on a great show; lots of skill, lots of heart, great chin, but not enough power or stamina to quite pull off the upset.

I think the Kirkland stoppage was on point. The 1st kd was probably the shortest left hand I've ever seen. The last kd was bad. That stoppage was good.

But I thought Maidana was this tough, guns ablaze warrior that deserved to be ranked as the #2 JWW even ahead of guys like Tim Bradley?

Did people overrate Maidana because he's tough? Did people overrate Maidana because he can punch? Yes they did.

Turns out Maidana is just like all the others. Normal.
