A lot of people were complaining about the ref "protecting" Guerrero, but as I rewatched the round, I counted at least 8 punches thrown below the belt by Katsidis, including in the groin area before each point deduction (at 2:47 and 2:16 in the round) along with another later in the round (at 1:05). You can make the case that the first deduction was premature, but the ref had verbally warned Kats twice prior to that, and later allowed him to get away with a few more low blows starting at around 1:13. He also deducted a point from Guerrero in the following round just to even things out. Anyway, I thought Kats at least deserved harsh warnings along with a point deduction for his antics (not that it made a difference in the outcome) so that the situation wouldn't get out of hand. If those low blows by Kats weren't deliberate, they were certainly reckless.

the first one was ok,but very harsh, warning could have been give, all to happy and quick to take a point from a man who was already down on the cards!.
h^
the 2nd point deducted was total bull ****, guerrero had them high up and katsidis was NOT going low and getting some hard punches ****ing to the body and starting to get going with his attack, and the ref stops the momentum and helps guerrero.disgusting!.
fairplay guerrero boxed well, sad to see katsidis not try harder to get off first and back up guerrero.Comment

Shame Katsidis didnt go to the body earlier as it seemed it was the best spell he was having all night. I think the 1st point deduction was abit harsh..i felt an strong warning would of done. He was straying abit low to be fair, but the slow-mo replays did show some low shots.
Katsidis is a brave guy, kept coming forward and eating shots..brave figter but Guerreo was on fine form and was a class above last-night.Comment
