Personally, I think Paulie should retire. He couldn't crack an egg before and now moving up in weight again, he won't be able to beat anyone of note. Add that to his chronic hand problems and he is in for a rude awakening, especially if he steps in with a guy with a sturdy chin and punching power. He's got skills but his hands are telling him to quit...

I don't think he should retire...People tend to forget that Malignaggi has a sturdy chin of his own, the 2 stoppages on his record are bull s h i t stoppages cause even thou he was loosing those fights, they should have never been stopped..Malignaggi took a SERIOUS POUNDING from Miguel Cotto where Cotto knocked down Malignaggi in the 2nd & Malignaggi had a huge cut above his eye & he broke Malignaggi's cheakbone & fractured his jaw & by the end of the fight Malignaggi was a swollen mess bleeding out of his mouth & nose & yet went the distance & this is a fight that should have been stopped!!! & to think Cotto fought with a fractured thumb on his left hand from the 3rd round on.. Yet Malignaggi became a world champ after that by beating tought as nails Lovemore N'dou(twice, 1nce for the title & in rematch) who also has good power in his punches & he also beat Herman Ngoudjo on a title defense...Malignaggi also beat Juan Diaz(twice, but got robbed in the first fight) & Diaz could take a good puch & Malignaggi rocked him in the 2nd fight!! Malignaggi has skills & could take a punch & he's tough & even thou he doesn't have power, he could still give any fighter problems & he could put up a good fight..
