    What's next for Erik Morales?

Should he even continue fighting at all?

I'm probably in the minority but I believe that he should consider retiring, but that's just me. He may have surprised all of us with that impressive performance (thankfully), but that doesn't mean the same outcome will happen if he decides to keep fighting.

I think it's best that he lost in a close, impressive fight. Golden Boy would've been feeding him to other young, upcoming fighters for that belt. He should either retire again or take some easy fights.

He needs to retire. I don't care how well he boxed tonight, he took a beating. He was cut, swollen, his body was bruised up like crazy. Too many wars for this guy. He's too old to continue to take a beating like he did tonight.

If he fights Marquez at 140 he'll get destroyed.

morales will feel it in the morning. dude is too beat up to continue fighting fights like this. he should beat up on easy opponents or retire by the end of the year (maybe one last title shot/loss to shut him up for good)

it should be in the video trading block forum..look for it there.
and no roy wasnt there. they basically said morales still has greatness left in him, and maidana did enough to stack up on early rounds to get the decision

he put a great performance tonight...i was one that thought he would get blown away by maidana...he proved me (a lot of people) wrong. despite his better than expected performance i hope he hangs them up.

He fought great but he took a beating in there. People were worried that Morales might get seriously hurt when he fight Maidana. And I think Morales was hurt badly. He took a lot of punishment. It wasn't the KO we were expecting, but ask yourself this. After the fight was over would you rather be Morales or Maidana?

Morales looked like he had just been to hell and back.
Maidana just looked like he was out of breath.

Hmmm... depending on the damage on that eye, uno mas with Maidana then retire.
