Arum is full of shiet... Has he ever tried to contact the networks about the fight? Of course not. It's easy to blame them... You're the promoter Bob, not them.

I'm pretty sure Bob asks for the 3M$ he mentionned and they will probably accept, or try to negotiate but will eventually accept. Bob just doesn't want to do the fight now and take the RISK of ruining his future Rican cash cow. I'm not going against Juanma here, just Bob.

You make me "laugh". Actually, if I were that way inclined, you could make me cry, because it seems that where normally, ignorance can be cured (assuming normal intelligence) ******ity can't and is for ever.

In your case it seems the both have been intermingled. I would have thought that a "normal" guy would thank Arum for his very clear explanation as to how and why fights either get made or don't get made. He put is VERY simply.

It's his job to get the fighters as much as he can. The fight can be BANKROLLED by people like HBO, or it can be put on PPV. If it is HBO, then they know how much money they want to RISK as part of their business plan and BUDGET for the year.

BUT>......if it is PPV, the Arum HIMSELF has to bankroll the fight, and THEEFORE has to decide WHEN the fight makes most sense both in getting the best purses for the fighters and HIM getting his money back, and, hoping to make a profit.

Now, HOW HARD is this to understand, and where does the "***ish Businessman" crap come into it. ANY BUSINESSMAN who want's to be in business by this time next year, thinks along the VERY SAME LINES. Oscar, dumb as he is, has guys who think for him, also along the very same lines. I think along the very same lines, as does just about every normal person in the world. promoting fights is one of the easiest way to throw away money. My uncle was a small promoter for a few years, until he got tired losing money, hard earned by other means.

YOU sound as if you think that Arum should act as a charity so that YOU can watch the fight. If you want to watch it so much then YOU get a bunch of guys together as a consortium to RISK their money, not forgetting to put in some of your own.......

      Antisemite.

Talking about "Rican cash cow'. The Promoter, Arum, has TWO cash cows, so why in hell do you want to urge him to make this fight in which ONE of the "cash cows" will lose, and won't be a "cash cow" any more, and won't be able to get top purses like he is now.

Isn't it better to leave these "cash cows" to cash in as much as they can before one of them has to probably "dumped" as far as making top money again goes. And do you know better when that will be, than Arum??? No you don't. I wouldn't expect you to.

You'll enjoy the fight, then sit biting your nails until the NEXT weekend, and the NEXT "cash cow".

Shut up already Bob's son, you're getting annoying.

And get your facts straight, Gamboa is no cash cow. He's like a Pacquiao, a lot of POTENTIAL international appeal but in order to unleash it he needs to beat big names. Right now he brings no money in. The problem is, Juanma is the only big name that Gamboa can beat in order to get that status. In Juanma's case, he can keep fighting the Mtagwa bums of this world forever and he will still bring in a lot of money because of the Rican nuthugging fanbase (nationalism isn't a bad thing). That's a cash cow. Now as I said before giving you cash cow explanations, please shup up. Nobody here respects your Arum's son opinion.

I absolutely concur with your statement. I couldn't have put it any better.

Lopez obviously struggled vs Mtagwa because of weight issues and I think Lopez was probably right about Solis being weak because he came down in weight. Gamboa beats Solis no matter what though. As much as I like Yuri he's no Pacquiao.

Boxing is indeed a business but we heard the same thing from Arum and Juanma in regards to Caballero(before he lost) when they were both the best 122 lbers. Meanwhile, Montiel fought Donaire, Ortiz will move up a division to fight Berto, Solis fought Gamboa, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.
