Did you see the first Martinez and first Quintana fight? I think he did a fine job of adjusting and came back to make it close/win.

Anyway Paul Williams should move down in weight anymore, I think all this weight jumping contributed to him burning out.

i see so p will losing to martinez has suddenly led to a sever underrating of his skills. he isnt the prettiest fighter. but it would be a tall order, no pun intended, for pac to beat him.

i tend to agree with you, Manny P.'s strengths are not really in body punching but in angles, speed , and GETTING IN AND GETTING OUT. A really good body puncher must, at some time be prepared to get close in and **** away.

Some who are classed as good body punchers actually jusy reach under and punch ONCE, then get away. A real body puncher has to stay there, and also be prepared to take return punishment.

I can't imagine Manny P. being the kind of good body puncher that Trinidad was. If he tried it, he'd be hitting a guy like Williams below the belt all the time.........

Yes he just does the same things over and over until his opponents wear down a bit.

I don't think he would unless the weight kills Paul at this point, but you can't see how? Pacquiao is faster and has very good movement. He would have no problem hitting Williams. Williams even when healthy is not a particularly strong welter and would feel everything Pacquiao landed. Williams doesn't hit hard enough to bother Pacquiao. And Williams has a proven history now of not liking southpaws.

Again, I would pick Williams but I wouldn't be shocked to see Pacquiao put a hurting on him.
