Do you think Bradley Khan is a 50/50 fight??

It is something for boxing fans to be concerned about,how many times have money issues prevented a great match up??We could have Khan Perterson(which I would have loved to see)the Khan Maidan fight had money issues..Berto Mosley Pac Mayweater etc etc..We the Hardcore boxing fans get a lot of info on behind the scenes and if something is preventing a great fight it should concern us..

Khan - Peterson, didn't happen clearly because of money issues, so I feel in this case it makes sense. But did those other fights you mentioned really have money issues? Berto Mosley II, it seems like Berto is simply using money as an excuse not to fight. And Pac May, well the problem there was well drug testing, right?

But you're right, money is relevant, even if its simple being used as an excuse to duck a fight.

I say 50-50 just to get the damn thing done - but I've been saying since before the Khan/Maidana fight that Bradley/Khan will have major problems with the money issue. I expect we haven't even reached the tip of the iceberg yet in hearing about it, and could delay this fight in to next year if it gets really ugly. But I sincerely hope I'm wrong. As fans, in my opinion, we shouldn't even be hearing about the money issues between two fighters and their contractual negotiations. But my guess is the promoters want the fans to take their side on the issue.

As Romey said, too many hold ups and cancellations for good fights over whose gonna get what. We just want to see them fight damnit!

Hey big sis,I agree I just want to see them fight..We know the Nego have not even started yet but us hearing about money already let's me know someone is concerned about it..IMO this fight is 50/50 down the line,there is too much at stake for it not to be..

You're completely correct. HBO sometimes can be the height of ******ty. But on ESPN, they made it seem like some people were fired over this fiasco. They also said, HBO will probably never use this protective clause ever again.

The rationale for doing this was to protect the loser, to allow the boxers to hedge their bets. To make sure the loser didn't disappear, but what HBO didn't plan for was how incredibly lackluster the fight could be.

HBO should really know better by now, **** happens. Wasn't Mosley signed to something like an 6-8 fight deal just to beaten twice by Forrest, then Forrest being beaten twice Mayorga. They should ****ing know not to bend over backwards cause in boxing anything can happen.

That's why I like the way Shobox does it cause they rarely picka horse to run with, they just allow the best fighters to fight and whoever comes out on top is who they try to hold on to.(although they all usually go to HBO anyways)

you can't expect Bradley to take less, Bradley might not be a major draw but Bradley has done more and Bradley holds most of the titles in that division

Bradley is not going to submit to Khan or Golden Boy because he don't have to, he could just fight Zab Judah next OR he could move up to 147 and fight Berto (if he wins) or he could sign with Top Rank and get his shot at Pacquiao

so Bradley is not in a desperate situation to have to take less for a fighter that really hasn't don't ANYTHING, Bradley is Top 10 P4P (at least according to Ring Magazine)...NOT KHAN! So it should be 50/50...unless the fight is in the UK, then I guess Khan would have a better argument for a larger %
