  • What The Lemieux Corner Did Last Night Was The Right Thing

They made the right call throwing in the towel because they know they have a good prospect on their hands. Letting a seriously hurt fighter who has a potentially bright future continue fighting would have been foolish. Lemieux lost because he was one dimensional, but hopefully this was a learning experience for him. He has the tools to grow from this loss and hopefully we see him bounce back from this.

But that was the right move from his corner.

25 and 0...lets see what your fighter can do!!!!! When he faces tough challenges you let him out? This is boxing he had like 20 seconds left...complete bull****

In that situation when he was getting beaten to the punch for the round prior and the rest of the round leading up to the TKO, it was the right call. Lemmy was obviously beginning to drop his hands more and more and his defense was waning.

This was his first test of adversity and he failed. But there can be more if the fighter is taken care of. We're too fast to dismiss a fighter when he loses and too thirsty to seek blood. Let him fight another day. Tonight was Rubio's.

David went from a litlle head movement to none, then with no defense, while the ropes were holding him up, you're right, he was still in the fight.

Kid could have easily had a brain injury had the fight continued. The shot right on the side of his ear deeply affected his cerebellum which is why he was desperately holding himself up on the ropes in that awkward position. Was that his mother that jumped out her seat to try and urge them to stop it.

we all have different observations, I just think he was in over his head and he was already taking to much punishment, he maybe better suited for junior middleweight!!
